Gender Diversity on Corporate Boards: How do we get there?

Multiple studies show that gender diversity can improve a company's performance, but offer little explanation as to exactly why that is and the continued lack of diversity on corporate boards.  The Smith School’s Center for Financial Policy,  Ed Snider Center for Enterprise and Markets and Office of Diversity Inititatives will bring together experts to explore the issues of the underrepresentation of women on corporate boards — examining what are the likely causes and how companies can encourage greater diversity in their leadership and corporate boards.

Annual SEC Conference

The SEC, CFA Institute, Center for Financial Services at Lehigh University and the Center for Financial Policy at the Robert H. Smith School of Business are pleased to jointly host the fourth annual conference on the financial market regulation. The goal of the conference is to bring together participants from academia, industry and the SEC for an exchange of views on topics of relevance to the Commission.  

Registration will open March 15.

Asset Management: Pioneers & New Frontiers

The Center for Financial Policy and UBS will host a conference on “Asset Management: Pioneers and New Frontiers”. This invitation only event will focus on trends and challenges in asset management. Topics include: the changing nature of trading, long and short-term correlations, active vs. passive management and factor investing.

Keynote speakers include Professor Stephen Ross of MIT, Professor Richard Roll of Caltech (formerly UCLA), and Professor Luis Viceira of Harvard Business School.
