The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business seeks nominations for the Young Alumni Council. Term length is two years. The council is comprised of undergraduate alumni, one to eight years out of school, representing different majors, business sectors and geographic locations.
The ideal nominee is actively engaged with the Smith School. The Young Alumni Council (YAC) is an advisory board to the Office of Alumni Relations and helps to guide the development of young alumni programming in order to strengthen the connection between the school and young alumni. Council members serve on task forces to carry out their mission. Time requirements include attending 3-5 meetings per year, as well as conference calls. Each member also serves on a task force which meets periodically throughout the year. All nominees must be University of Maryland Smith School of Business graduates.
