The Diversity Empowerment Council (DEC) is a multinational, multiethnic student body comprised of a diverse representation of student leadership at the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Led by Damon King, a senior in operations management and business analytics, DEC represents and expands our community’s conception of diversity, while boosting student integration and strengthening unity. Through partnerships with Smith's Undergraduate Dean Victor Mullins, Chief Diversity Officer Terrill Drake, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Programming Jeanette Snider, and Smith’s student government (SUSA), DEC proactively rallies for underrepresented and marginalized communities, while celebrating the diversity that exists within all of us.
