Office of Smith Programs and Events (OSPE)

Welcome to the Office of Smith Programs and Events (OSPE) at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. We provide a central resource for the full-service planning and/or consultation of over 350 annual Smith School programs and events that include: academic conferences, center events and programs, alumni events, development and donor corporate events, graduate and undergraduate student programs, meetings and other departmental events. Events are held in a variety of locations including Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, and New York.

We enjoy connecting faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external communities through the production and management of Smith School events and programs. The OSPE office is here to provide direction and oversight for creative, logistical and programmatic details for special events and programs hosted by the various administrative and academic departments at the Smith School. It is our goal to ensure that all events and programs meet the expectations of the School.
