The Undergraduate Program at the Robert
H. Smith School of Business recognizes
the need for professional education in
business and management based on a
foundation in the liberal
arts and core
business and management principles. In
addition, the Smith School is dedicated
to preparing graduates to lead

venture opportunity. The Smith

administration degree programs.
In addition to College
Park, juniors and seniors admitted into
the
nationally ranked undergraduate
program of the Robert H. Smith School of
Business, University of Maryland, are
able to complete their studies at
Shady Grove.
A corporate setting, the
Universities at Shady Grove offers
students the option of completing a
prestigious Smith School of Business
degree at a state-of-the-art educational
center located in the heart of
Montgomery county's high-technology
corridor.
A student in the Smith School of
Business, selects a major(s) in
one of several curricula: (1)
Accounting;

General Business; (4)Information

Logistics,
Transportation, & Supply Chain

Recently, the Smith School has
launched an innovative Undergraduate
Fellows Program. The program
provides a broad range of opportunities
to all undergraduate students to
specialize and integrate knowledge
gained in the classroom with real-world
activities and hands-on applications in
laboratories, internships and other
action-based learning, as well as
support the building of community among
Smith students, faculty, staff, alumni
and corporate partners. New
freshman and transferring juniors
participate as cohorts or ongoing groups
in a broad range of academic and
co-curricular activities designed to
broaden their education and create
lasting bonds. This programs will
continue to expand over the next few years.

In addition, Smith
School students can incorporate
other exceptional multidisciplinary learning
opportunities as part of their degree
programs. Programs like
College Park Scholars (including
Business, Society, and the Economy);
Gemstone; and
The Hinman Campus Entrepreneurship
Opportunities (CEOs) programs join business
undergraduates with those from other
disciplines. Several of the
programs mentioned above were formed
through partnerships with other
colleges
or departments on
campus.
The
Smith School offers its students career
management services through the
Office of Career
Management (OCM). OCM is dedicated
to assisting Smith School undergraduates
with their career development needs and
employment goals. OCM is also
responsible for the delivery of BMGT 367
Career Search Strategies in Business
which is required of all Smith School
students in their junior year.
