Music Management Fellows

The objective of the Music Management Fellows program is to develop students’ interests and capabilities in the specialized management functions involved in the business of music management, including performance and production logistics in event management, as well as marketing and promotions, funding and management of venues and institutions. Students learn from experts in the field by participating in the design and production of recorded music, live events and programs, in addition to specialized clinics and internships focused on various genres and performance environments.

Curriculum -- 2 year program

  • BMGT 488B (Executive Speaker Course) Fall 1
  • BMGT 485 FP section (Project Management) Spring 1
  • BMGT 450 FP section (Integrated Marketing Communications) Fall 2
  • BMGT 495 FP section (Business Policy) Spring 2

NOTE: Music Management Fellows is a 4 semester sequential program with a dedicated fellows section each semester. Therefore, substitutions cannot be made for dedicated fellows courses.

Co-curricular activities/events

  • Speaker series
  • Workshops and clinic to observe/design/manage events
  • Optional internship

Fellows Application Eligibility

  • Must be a Business Major (preference for double-majors in music)
  • Rising Junior (will be a junior in Fall 2008)
  • Minimum 3.0 cum gpa preferred
  • Resume (preference for previous work or music background and student leaders in Music Management Club)
