Ernst & Young Foundation Donates
$250,000 to Smith School
The gift will create the Ernst & Young Freshman Fellows Orientation Program and
endowment, supporting orientation programs and presentations for Smith’s
two-year Freshman Fellows program, an innovative combination of cohort-style
classes, experiential learning, co-curricular activities and events that create
a cohesive learning community linking students, faculty, staff, corporate
partners and alumni.

Receives National Recognition
For the fifth year in a row, the American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter at
the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business returned from
the International Collegiate AMA Conference with awards.
Shutters 4 Scholars: Ukrainian
Orphanage Project

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a group of University of Maryland
students is hoping it will be worth big money, too. The undergraduate students
started a project call Shutters 4 Scholars that is showcasing photos of children
in orphanages in Ukraine to help drive donations to support the orphans’
education.
