Student & Faculty Exchange Programs

Student and faculty exchange programs have been established with Chulalongkorn University and with Thammasat University, both top ranked universities located in Bangkok, Thailand. Chulalongkorn University, established in 1917, is Thailand’s oldest higher education institution, while Thammasat University is the second oldest university in Thailand with six campuses across the country. Establishing a strong student exchange program with Chulalongkorn and Thammasat Universities will allow the Robert H. Smith School of Business to grow its presence in Bangkok and expand the exchange program to invite other universities in Thailand, including Chiang Mai University, which has three campuses in Thailand. The Smith School welcomed its first undergraduates from Chulalongkorn University in the Fall 2009 semester.

Supply Chain Management Executive Education Program

Prof. BoysonThe program includes collaboration with the Thai government and partner universities to explore initiatives that expand business education in Southeast Asia, including a platform for Thai-based executive education initiatives. Executives participating in custom, non-credit courses of the executive education program benefit from the Smith School’s world-class faculty, who bring thought leadership to organizations as a means to develop and implement effective strategies to maximize ROI. Sandor Boyson, Smith School research professor and co-director of the Supply Chain Management Center, presented a four-day, non-credit executive class to Thai professionals in the field of logistics and supply chain management in June 2009. The class was well-received as the first executive program offered through the Thai American Business Program.
