Fall 2008 Projects
Aumazo, Inc. is a project which introduces a new tradition in Cameroon by
extending secondary education for girls in rural communities beyond
middle-school to include high school. Aumazo propose a curriculum that
foregrounds critical literacy and the development of critical thinking skills.
The SVC consultants provided a web strategy, social networking, and multimedia
strategy to help with fundraising and outreach.

The Woman's Heart is a non-profit organization which seeks to provide
innovative recovery and support services for all women recovering from
addition--anywhere at anytime. The SVC consultants provided strategic marketing,
a plan to sustain revenues and to enchance resource utilization for the
organization.

Kids for Tomorrow is a NYC based organization dedicated to improving the
education of disadvantaged children throughout the world. The SVC consultants
provided a one year action plan that included budgeting, fundraising,
benchmarking, board development and volunteer management for Kids for Tomorrow.

Global Youth Connect, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based out of
Kingston, New York, has spent the past decade uniting young adults worldwide in
their pursuit of a shared in a vision of universal human rights and social
justice. The SVC consultants provided a fundraising and grant-development
strategy for the organization.

Looking For My Sister is a Metropolitan Detroit based organization founded by
a survivor of domestic violence and committed to promoting awareness of domestic
violence through community outreach, education, intervention and transitional
housing service for victims of domestic violence. The SVC consultants developed
a marketing and public relations strategy for Looking for My Sister.

The University of Maryland Office of Sustainability (OS)
is tasked with
managing the development of the campus™ Climate Action Plan, a 40+ year
strategic plan tasked with reducing campus-wide greenhouse gas emissions from
all operations and activities, and setting the stage for movement toward the
goal of carbon neutrality. The SVC consultants worked to define a methodology to
measure energy consumption and to assist in the development of an incentive
based marketing plan to be implemented by the Office of Sustainability and
Facilities.

The Engaged University’s Master Peace Community Farm, located at the Center
for Educational Partnership in Riverdale, Maryland, provides healthy,
affordable, and sustainably grown produce to its surrounding community. The SVC
consultants objective for this organization was to develop and sustain the
production of one or more healthy snacks that could be consumed by the local
community, produced locally, and marketed sustainably.

The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship provides
entrepreneurship education programs to young people from low-income communities.
The SVC consultants provided a marketing strategy for the organization,
including messaging, public relations and digitial marketing.
