Women Leading Women

Thursday, March 5, 2015, 6 – 9 p.m.
Frank Auditorium, Robert H. Smith School of Business
University of Maryland, College Park

Women Leading Women is an annual event that celebrates our fearless female Terps and other businesswomen, empowering them to reach their full potential. This complimentary event is open to all women, including Smith and University of Maryland alumnae, faculty, staff and students, as well as guests and friends.

Women need advocacy and support at each stage of their careers. While the number of females in management positions is growing, women still have fewer role models and mentors than men. Women Leading Women is an event for, by and about women, and presents opportunities to discover common ground and make lasting connections.

A Conversation With...

Andrea Brody

Andrea Brody ’87
Senior Vice President of Global Marketing for BravoSolution

Each year, Women Leading Women showcases an inspiring trailblazer in business. This year’s honoree is marketing and sales executive Andrea Brody.

Andrea Brody has built her career around understanding customers and their needs. Her fascination with consumer behavior dates back to her time as a Smith student observing reactions to in-store ads for a class project.

Fast-forward to today. Brody is now senior vice president of global marketing at BravoSolution, a provider of supply management technology and services with world headquarters in Milan, Italy.

Prior to coming to BravoSolution, Brody was vice president of global marketing and business development at OpenText GXS in Gaithersburg, Md. There, she helped advance the company’s mission of helping business clients connect with customers and suppliers to share critical information electronically across global supply chains.

Brody studied marketing as an undergraduate at Smith (’87) and received a Master of Science in Information Systems at American University (’96).

Women Leading Women is presented by the Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. This is a complimentary, women-only event.
