Software Downloads
Campus
provides free
McAfee Virus Scan software to
everyone affiliated with the University. If you
install this package from their website, you will
automatically receive free updates as long as you’re
affiliated with the University. If you have another
virus scan software package be sure to uninstall
that first!! – Virus protection software
packages do not play well together.
Citrix - In order to access applications through
the eSmith portal, you must first install the Citrix client.

Microsoft Office
licenses are available to Faculty and Staff.
You can download at no cost, or, if you prefer to
install from CD, you can purchase media from that
site for $10 per
CD.
Students
are not eligible to download the software at this
time, they may purchase
the software from
the bookstore at a reduced cost.
No drive letter assigned to
your USB Flash drive when you plug it in? Plug
it in and run this once and it
will map on that computer every time.
Novell Client Instructions and Download link:
With the Novell Client installed on your laptop
you will be able to access network resources such as
your K: drive and network printers.
Note: DO
NOT install Novell unless you have a
Novell account. Also, before installing Novell, you
should know what your Windows username and password
is (i.e. Start -> Control Panel (this option could
be under the Settings category -> User Accounts).
This will become necessary.
Instructions for installing Novell in Windows
2000/XP
Download the Novell Client version 4.91 for Windows
2000/XP
Click on the link above and choose Save to
download the file to your computer. Then follow
these instructions:
- Launch the
downloaded file and wait until the files have
been successfully unzipped.
- When the
Novell Installation window comes up, choose
"Install Novell Client 4.91" and wait for the
automated installation to complete.
- Click
Reboot
- After
logging into Windows, you can login to Novell by
either right-clicking on the red Novell (N)
from the system tray and choosing Netware Login
or by double clicking on the shortcut from your
desktop.
Instructions for installing Novell in Windows
95/98/98se/ME
Download the Novell Client version 3.32 SP 1 for
Windows 95/98/98se/ME
Click the link above and when the file download
dialog box appears, choose Save
- In the Save
Dialog there will be a drop down list at the
top. Click in the box next to Save in:, and
choose Desktop
- When the
download completes, choose Close (if the box
does not close automatically)
- Locate the
file named C332SP1e.exe on your Desktop
- Double
click on the self-extracting zip file
- When the
WinZip Self-Extractor box appears, click the
Browse... button and in the new window, scroll
up to Desktop and click OK
- Click the
Unzip button. Files will begin to unzip
- When files
have finished unzipping, click OK and close the
Extractor window
- Double
click on the WIN95 folder on your Desktop
- Double
click on the IBM_ENU folder
- Double
click on the file named setup.exe
- Choose Yes
to the Software License Agreement
- Choose
Custom Installation and click Next >

*Check the box that says
IP only and remove IPX if present, click Next >
- Make sure
NDS is selected and click Next >
- Check the
box for Novell Distributed Print Services (NDPS)
and click Install
- Wait while
the Novell files are copied to your machine
- When it's
finished, click Reboot
- Wait for
your machine to reboot and when Windows boots up
a Novell login prompt will now appear. If you
have not authenticated yet, you will need to
press the Esc button in order to log into
Windows. After you have logged into Windows and
authenticated to the wireless system, to log
into Novell, right-click on the Novell icon in
the system tray and choose Netware Login... Type
in your Novell username and password then
populate the following data.
Click the Advanced >> button and enter in this
information:
- Tree:
BMGT

Context: fac.bmgt.UMCP for faculty, staff,
and Phd students, or labs.bmgt.UMCP for MBA
students
- Server:
mbsdata for faculty, staff, and Phd students
