Loaner Equipment
The Help Desk maintains a pool of equipment that
can be borrowed for short periods by Business School
Faculty, Staff and Graduate students. Additionally
there are sets of Turning Point Classroom Response
Systems
("Clickers") available to Business School
Faculty for a semester on a first come-first served
basis.
All reservations are first come- first
served, so reserve it as soon as you
know you will need it and please, cancel your
reservations if you find you dont need it after
all. To make a
reservation, contact the Helpdesk by calling
301-405-2269 or email
helpme@rhsmith.umd.edu.
All equipment must be picked up in person and signed
for (the Help Desk does not deliver or set up the
equipment).
Equipment available for short term loan:
General
equipment loan periods should be kept as short as
possible to keep the equipment available for
everyone who needs it.

Laptops - The Help
Desk has a series of laptops that
may be borrowed. Each of these
laptops has an internal wireless
card and is configured with our
standard software which includes the
Office 2010 suite.

Projectors - The
Help Desk has a series of LCD
projectors, which can be connected
to a laptop for mobile projection.
Note: If you reserve a laptop
from the Help Desk, you are only
reserving the laptop. If you need a
projector, you must make a second,
separate reservation for the
projector.

Digital Camera -
The
Help Desk's Digital Camera is
available for short-term loan.
Software and cabling to connect the
camera to your PC and download the
images from the camera are included.
If you don't have access to a PC to
do this, you can log into one of the
PCs in the Help Desk office and
download the camera images, however,
the Help Desk is not resourced to
download the images for you. All
images stored in the camera are
subject to deletion at any time
after you have returned the camera
to us.

Digital Video Cameras

The Help Desk's video cameras are
available for short-term loan.
Software and cabling to connect the
camera to your computer and download
the images from the camera are
included. If you don't have access
to a computer to do this, you can

Help Desk office and download the
camera video file(s, however, the
Help Desk is not resourced to
download the video files for you.
All video files stored in the camera
