Maintaining Your Mail Size

Is your Notes mailbox close to quota?

When your mailfile is too close to the quota, you must reduce it's size. Large mailfiles are in danger of becoming corrupt and slow down Notes.

• Delete everything in your Notes Trash folder.
• Delete or archive your Sent folder.
• Delete most or all attachments.
• Contact the Helpdesk and ask them to compact your mailfile.

Archiving Your Mail File

Instructions on how to archive is as Below: .

1. From within your mail, go to Actions-->Archive-->Settings
   
2. Make sure Default for Last Modified is selected and click Edit.
   
3. Double-check that these settings are you want them then click Selection Criteria
   
4. Specify how old the messages have to be in order to be archived.
   
5. When you're ready to archive, go to Actions-->Archive-->Archive Now and you're good to go.
