Your Profiles
What is a profile?
Everyone in the R.H.Smith address book has a BMGT profile
document, whether currently enrolled or an alumni. AND every employee or
student of umd.edu also has a campus UMID profile. These profiles
should include your most up-to-date contact information. This data
will be used as a reference, not only for forwarding emails to you, but also to
capture other pertinent statistics for the School such as degree program and
concentration, current employment information, etc. You can choose to make
information "Public" or "Private" such as home address, work information.
Please maintain correct location and
contact information for yourself in
your TWO campus profiles:
BMGT and
UMID
For information on changing your UM Active Directory or Lotus Notes
passwords, please visit our
Password Change page.
BMGT Address Book Profiles
To access a complete listing of Smith Faculty, Staff and Students, you can
access the BMGT Address book through the Lotus Notes Client or from the BMGT
Address book on the web.
Everyone with a Notes account has a profile located in the BMGT Address Book.
Whether you use the Notes email or not (no, you don't have to use Notes to get
@rhsmith
email - see "using
other eMail clients"), it is important to keep your information up-to-date
so that other faculty, staff and students can locate your office, phone number,
or email address. Only you can keep this
profile up to date. If you're setting it for the first time, or if
your address or contact information changes, just open your personal entry in
the BMGT address book, click the edit button, and change that information. For a
way to do this over the web, please go to update your
profile.
Profiles for currently enrolled students are
located in the BMGT Address Book. Profiles for Alumni are located in the Alumni
Address Book.
