Smith
Business magazine is published twice a year, in the fall and spring
semesters, by the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of
Maryland, for more than 50,000 readers, most of whom are graduates of
the university. The magazine reports on alumni activities, covers
institutional events, people and trends, and examines a broad spectrum
of business and management issues reflecting the school’s focus on three
key drivers of the digital economy: technology, globalization and
entrepreneurship.
Smith Business welcomes alumni and faculty submissions of
between 400 and 700 words for the “Leaders Digest” and “Connections”
section of the magazine. Articles should be written in AP style and
focus on news or opinions of interest to Smith Business readers.
Articles are accepted at the editor’s discretion and will be edited to
conform to Smith Business style. Please submit a complete
manuscript.
News items for “Class Notes” should be no more than 50 words long.
Please include your full name and graduation date in your submission.
Photos submitted to Class Notes should be high resolution in a .tif or
.jpeg file.
Submissions may be e-mailed to
editor@rhsmith.umd.edu in Word format; we also accept articles
on CDs.
