Rakesh Gupta
Mr. Rakesh Gupta is Chairman and Co-Founder of Aptara Inc. He is
responsible for strategic direction and market analysis for the company he
founded with his brother and sister in 1988. Rakesh speaks often to business
audiences on his role in pioneering XML publishing processes and building
Aptara into a global corporation. Before launching Aptara (then known as
Techbooks), Rakesh worked for two years as a product manager at the Oracle
Corporation, where he marketed the company's PC-based, end-user tools. A
native of Marietta, Ohio, Rakesh has a master's degree in business
administration from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor's degree in
electrical engineering from Ohio State University.
