Panelist Bio
Katherine A. Gray
Katie Gray is vice president of Global Sensor Solutions. She is
responsible for the strategy and direction of F-16 sensor business
worldwide, including the evolution of new variants and the development of
customer relationships. Her business is conducted with 6000 systems
installed in over 25 countries worldwide.
Katie joined the company in 1980 as an associate engineer. She has held a
number of professional and management positions in engineering, operations,
and programs. As a program manager, she has overseen study and development
contracts for the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy, and production contracts for the
U.S. Postal Service.
Ms. Gray has served as manager of the sector's postal systems integration
business; manager of sector subcontracts management; director of sector
strategic planning, and director of sector program operations.
Prior to her current assignment, Ms. Gray served as vice president of the
sector’s supply chain organization. Annual procurement exceeded $2B with
operations at over 25 sites in the United States and Europe.
Ms. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Georgia
Institute of Technology. She has also completed the International Business
Program at INSEAD, the Executive Marketing Program at UCLA and the General
Manager Program at Harvard Business School.
Katie serves as vice chair on the International Advisory Council to the
Governor of Maryland.
Ms. Gray launched the Women’s Initiative and WINGS programs at Northrop
Grumman; both programs support the United Way and target women as
philanthropists and community activists.
Katie resides in Ellicott City, Maryland with her husband Michael Chaney
and their two sons.
