Through Smith Advisory and Collaborative Services (SACS), Smith offers scalable services to businesses, governments, organizations and industries of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Utilizing a just-in-time model for delivery, SACS draws upon Smith’s international network to bring breadth and depth to business dilemmas through relevant application. SACS leverages Smith’s thought leaders and expertise via the in-house think tanks and implementation labs, Smith Executives in Residence, top-ranked Departments of study, the incubator and entrepreneurship center and its campuses on three continents. SACS serves the needs of corporate entities, small businesses, multinationals and non-profits.

Highlighted Programs:

  • MBA Consulting Program – Second-year MBA students at the Smith School are teamed up with Smith faculty to support a real-time client business need. An average of 600 hours is dedicated to the client engagement with mid-project and final presentations and formal usable, relevant deliverables.
  • QUEST Consulting Program - Senior-year business, engineering and computer sciences honors undergraduates at the University of Maryland work together in teams to solve complex, real-time business issues. They draw upon their extensive Six Sigma and TQM training and leverage the University of Maryland's faculty and technology resources.

SACS has successfully executed over 350 QUEST and MBA consulting engagements for businesses like yours. Both QUEST and MBA consulting programs run during both the Fall and Spring semesters.
