The Student Experience

QUEST is one of few academic programs in the country that is recognized for its successful and innovative approach to teaching the critical skills needed to be successful in the professional world today. By combining select business, engineering and computer, mathematical and physical sciences students, QUEST offers a unique opportunity to build team skills, apply Quality principles, and participate in a reality-based learning project.

"By far the most innovative and interesting program I came across in my college search, QUEST serves as the ultimate academic experience for anyone remotely interested in quality enhancement, systems design, or teamwork. Originally, I became interested in QUEST because of its strong reputation as one of the leading interdisciplinary honors programs in the nation. However, after experiencing QUEST for just one semester, I have come to realize the full value of learning about all the components that the program focuses on. You simply can't afford to miss the QUEST program with its top-notch faculty, the availability of incredible resources at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, and even its fun extracurricular student organization component as well. I strongly encourage every eligible student to apply for this truly enriching experience."

"Joining QUEST has been one of the best decisions I made at College Park. The program has offered me experiences that most people don’t obtain until they face the real world. Not only do I feel more prepared through my QUEST classes, but also the teams I have been on, are ones of lasting friendships. Students are not the only positive people in QUEST; the faculty is very valuable and willing to assist in making the most of your time in the program. QUEST is definitely something I would chose again in a heartbeat; the relationships, experiences, and courses have aided my college career for the better."
