A group of MBA students from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business traveled to New York City to attend the 5th Annual Asian MBA Leadership Conference and Career Exposition Forum, September 19 – 21, 2013, at the Hilton NYC.
The Asian MBA Conference attracted over 2,500 top Asian students (both undergrad and graduate level), professionals, and Fortune 500 employers such as IBM, GE, P&G, Facebook, Wells Fargo, and Kimberley-Clark.

If all goes to plan, six Smith School of Business MBA students will have helped create 290 full-time jobs in northern and eastern Sri Lanka – the regions most devastated by a 25 year civil war. And it only took them three weeks.

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Public Relations Society of America is rolling out an MBA-Level Strategic Communications Course and credits the Robert H. Smith School of Business for supporting the launch.
A PRSA white paper highlights Smith, along with four other leading business schools, for “best practice” performance in an innovative pilot program that is the foundation of the forthcoming course and a broader call-to-action for B-schools to add strategic communications and reputation management course work to their curricula.

Last spring, we got on board with the University of Maryland’s “Innovation Fridays,” introducing weekly coverage to highlight some of the exciting happenings around innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. This fall, we continue that semester-long commitment.
This summer 105 students traveled to Brazil, China, Germany, Italy, and Spain for short-term abroad courses offered by the Smith School’s Office of Global Initiatives. More than 80 graduate students participated in three courses while 19 undergraduates traveled to Germany and Italy for a course on entrepreneurship.
