Everyone here encourages one another to table any obstacle”

Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?

After attending several admitted students weekends, I felt a few things from Smith more than I did at the other schools – passion, humility, pride, and camaraderie. This felt like a place that was extremely proud of all its accomplishments but wanting more.  I wanted to be part of that journey and decided that Smith was the perfect place for me—the only place for me.

In your opinion, what makes the Smith MBA program unique?

Smith’s difference is its community. The class is full of smart, ambitious people who want to become great leaders in the business world.  That fact alone isn’t unique.  But the Smith community wants to become great leaders together. Everyone here—from the students to the staff to the faculty—encourages one another to table any obstacle.  And when those obstacles seem impossible, the Smith community is there to push you from behind and pull you from in from to ensure we’re all getting there together.

What advice would you give to future Smith MBA candidates?

If you’re looking for a place to learn and develop some skills there are thousands of business schools to choose from. If you want to do that in a place that genuinely wants to help you do it, come to Smith. And if you want to make an impact on your future workplace and family, come to Smith.
