"Smith is a top tier MBA program built by humble students, faculty, and staff who are ready to roll up their sleeves and work hard."
Why did you choose to attend the Smith School of Business?
After attending a campus visit program, admitted students weekend, and dinner with Dean, I chose to attend Smith because of the “Terps helping Terps” culture of the Smith community. As someone with a non-profit background, I wanted a program that would challenge me academically but also that would embrace my career goals through programs at the Center for Social Value Creation.
In your opinion, what makes the Smith MBA program unique?
Smith is a top tier MBA program built by humble students, faculty, and staff who are ready to roll up their sleeves and work hard.
What advice would you give to future Smith MBA candidates?
Challenge yourself and go outside your comfort zone. To get to the point where you are considering business school you already have a wealth of knowledge and skills from your previous education or professional experiences and may already know what industry you want to work for after graduation. For example, my goal as an MBA candidate is to meet and network with Smith alums and recruiters in various industries despite my focus in non-profit management—you never know what you may gain from those experiences if you don’t challenge yourself.
