Smith EMBA Students Experience Business on a Global Scale
The Robert H. Smith School of Business has introduced an opportunity for their Executive MBA students to voluntarily participate in a unique global studies course.
EMBA students can now experience business abroad and earn academic credit. Students will spend approximately 10 days visiting multinational organizations in countries such as China, India, France, Chile, Brazil, and more.
Throughout the trip, the emphasis will be on understanding differences and similarities of doing business in different cultures and on a global stage. Students will meet with resident companies and tour facilities, while also experiencing the rich cultural and social life of the host country.
EMBA students opting for the global studies trip will forego the domestic selective. The trip will occur in the second winter of their program, approximately 7 months before their graduation. The cost of the course is approximately $3000-$4000 which includes some meals, housing, ground transportation in country and admissions to some cultural events. EMBA students are responsible for the additional cost of travel to and from the country.
By joining our full-time and part-time students, EMBA students now have the opportunity to develop life-long relationships made more meaningful by a global business experience.
