You will receive a certificate of completion from one of the world’s leading business schools. College credit is not usually offered, other than for degree programs. Smith offers no open-enrollment short programs but we will be happy to create a program specifically tailored to the needs of your organization.

What is a customized program?
Customized programs are tailored for and offered to a group of participants from a single organization. Customized programs are in high demand as markets shift and organizations must develop and implement responsive business strategies. Smith works with many top global companies on customized executive education, including: CSX, Black & Decker, the Indian Revenue Service, Lockheed Martin, AstraZeneca, and SAIC.

Executive education courses are taught by the same world-renowned faculty members who teach our EMBA, ranked number 17 in the world. (Businessweek, Nov. 2013). Our subject matter expertise is augmented by the real-world experience of our advisory board; our alumni network; and faculty from other schools within the University of Maryland. You will learn from leaders in government and industry from the DC Capital region and benefit from innovative teaching from professors who specialize in working with experienced professionals. We have a cadre of executive coaches who can further support your development when you return to your office.
What is the ideal size of group for a customized executive education program?
Smith runs customized programs for groups as small as 10 or as large as 40 participants or more. The ideal classroom size is between 20-30 participants.
Are all your programs hosted in College Park?
We deliver programs at our campuses in College Park, MD, downtown Washington, D.C., and Baltimore. We also deliver programs on-site at client organizations all over the world.
Do you have distance learning capability?
Yes, we can deliver blended and online learning using the University Learning Management System, Adobe Connect, and Articulate Storyline. Work with us to create the right mix of self-paced and live learning for your group.
