When do classes begin?
Classes will begin in the Fall of 2008.

Where are classes held?
During the first year, classes are held at Smith's Baltimore or Shady Grove campus. Student select a campus of choice for their core classes at the time of application. Students’ individual elective selections will determine the location of his/her courses during the second year.

Where do electives take place?
Electives are offered at the Baltimore, Shady Grove, and Washington, D.C., campuses. Students may also select up to two electives from Smith's Global Studies Program in their second year.

When are electives taken?
Electives will be selected by each student from Smith's Evening and Weekend MBA programs and Smith's Global Studies Program during the second year of the program.

What time do classes start on weekday evenings?
Classes begin at 6:00 pm.

How many students are in the Accelerated MBA (AMBA) program?
The target for each cohort is 50 students. There is room for larger classes, however, space is limited.

How many classes will I take at one time?
You will take two subjects at a time.

What will my degree say?
You will earn the same degree as students in our full-time and other MBA programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA). The degree does not specify the format in which the courses are instructed.

Are there any extended breaks during the course of the program?
The course schedule is being arranged around some recognized federal holidays; however, in order to complete the program in as few as 24 months, there are no extended breaks built into the core curriculum during the first year. The second year schedule is based on the traditional part-time MBA semester structure with short breaks between semesters.

How many Saturdays will I be in class?
Classes are held on approximately 25 Saturdays each year.

I have not applied yet. How do I apply for the AMBA?
Use the online application form and indicate on the application that you are applying for the Accelerated MBA program. The AMBA option has recently been added to the online application.

How much is the deposit to hold my spot in the AMBA program?
The deposit amount for the AMBA program is $1000.00.

What is the tuition?
Tuition and fees for the AMBA program will be billed per credit hour.
