Tech@Smith Team
Michael Weiss
Michael had worked as an IT consultant,
developer, and technology instructor. He is pleased to be serving as
president and excited for the 2007 year.
Srinivas Vadlamani
Having practiced IT consulting with PwC and IBM for 5 years, I have a
natural passion for technology and the role it plays in transforming
businesses. I joined the Smith school MBA program primarily because of its
focus on integrating technology with business.
(Been-Chi) Hsieh
I have worked as a derivative analyst that dealt with numbers and costs.
Furthermore, I am deeply passionate about technology and feel we can do more
to connect to the industry by bringing in alumni and / or guest speakers.
Vikas Chawla
I am committed to pursuing a career in Technology Marketing
and will ensure that the premier MBA student organization at Smith remains
the Tech@smith Club.
Najaf Ally
Najaf Ally graduated from UMBC in 2002 with a BS in Information Systems
and worked in IT for about three years prior to beginning his MBA at Smith.
His experience includes a role as a Systems Analyst for Stewart
Technologies, Inc. as well as an IT Specialist for the US Census Bureau.
Najaf spent this past summer working as a Business Development Intern for
Convera, which is a technology company that specializes in internet search
solutions. The company was positioning itself to release a new public facing
search engine and Najaf served on the core team that brought this new and
exciting product to the market (check it out: www.govmine.com). Najaf hopes
to build on his experience in IT and to use his MBA to get into the product
management side of the industry.
