Join fellow Smith MBA candidates for A Wine Education, the Smith LGBTA Pride Alliance's signature event. We will feature four wine pours, and will have a Sommelier walk us through the properties of each pour and pair it with amuse-bouche. A Wine Education is a fun way to learn about what wines appeal to you, and what foods to pair with your favorite wines.
As MBA candidates, we all anticipate professional and personal situations where a knowledge of wine is a plus, and A Wine Education will give you the skills necessary to confidently navigate those situations. Dress for the occasion is business formal, and space is limited.
Our Mission
Our goal is to act as a resource for classmates who want to learn about LGBT inclusiveness, and who want to discuss larger diversity issues over activities like bar trivia nights and wine tastings. We also want to give back to the larger community, and will provide opportunities to volunteer in the College Park and DC areas.
