Welcome to the Part Time Smith

Association of Women MBAs!

Our Mission
The mission of the Robert H. Smith Business School's PT-SAWMBA is to provide professional and personal development opportunities that help Smith women develop into successful business leaders. We seek to foster a sense of collaboration and community among Smith women, thereby allowing us to benefit from each others' experiences and perspectives, and to build powerful and enduring networks.

More about PT-SAWMBA .....

The Part-Time branch of SAWMBA (formerly Part-Time Graduate Women in Business) was founded in 2002. The club meets the needs of part-time students and is one of the student groups under the Part-time MBAA. Since our founding, we have hosted informative speakers, networking happy hours and brunches, and career building workshops.

Both the full-time and the part-time SAWMBA organizations are part of the National Association of Women MBAs, a non-profit, national organization founded in 1979 at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Although PT-SAWMBA partners on some events with the Full-Time SAWMBA chapter at the College Park, the PT-SAWMBA club is a separate organization. Our focus is to serve the Baltimore, Shady Grove and Washington, DC campuses.

The PT-SAWMBA board plans and executes events. To join the board or to be a PT- SAWMBA member (no dues) with special advance and exclusive invitations, contact
