Co-Presidents

Rita Mullane comes to the Smith School with a background in Information Technology and Operations Management from the College of William & Mary. At the time Rita left to come to the Smith School she was the Deputy Director of Development and Membership at the Armenian Assembly of America.

This summer Rita will intern with Intel in their Marketing Operations Department. Upon graduation, she hopes to purse a career path in management and organization.(rmullane2008@rhsmith.umd.edu)


Laura Bennett
Formerly an award-winning filmmaker (MFA, NYU Tisch School of the Arts), Laura Bennett is now an MBA candidate at the Robert H. Smith School of Business concentrating in strategy and marketing. She is currently working at PBS as an MBA Intern in brand management and strategy. Projects include long- and short-term brand extension strategies for the PBS Parents business.

Co-VP Marketing/Social Events

Ramona Batra received her B.S. in Economics from the George Washington University. Upon graduation she worked in the affordable housing arena with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development as a project manager for 3 housing programs. Ramona then transitioned to the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York as an analyst in their Community Investment group. Ramona is pursuing a concentration in marketing. Loretta Goodridge earned her BFA in photographic illiustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003. After graduating she moved to Los Angles and worked in the entertainment industry as a freelance television producer. During this time she produced shows for channels such as HGTV and DIY. Loretta's true passion is to start her own business, so she decided to attend Smith and earn her MBA as the first step in working towards this goal. Jennifer P. Perkins After earning a B.A. from St. Mary's College, Jennifer worked in sales and marketing for the Corporate Executive Board. She worked with senior executives at Fortune 500 companies and participated in several new business product launches. Influenced by the revitalization of her native city, Washington, D.C., she then transitioned into commercial real estate brokerage with Eastdil Secured, a subsidiary of Wells Fargo. Jennifer is concentrating in Finance and Real Estate. She interned with The Bernstein Companies this past summer working on acquisitions and asset managment for their private REIT.(jperkins2008@rhsmith.umd.edu)

VP of Special Events

Fang Fang comes from Shanghai, China. She got master degree in Economics and then worked as Relationship Manager in private banking. At Smith, Fang gets Deans Fellowship and joins Mayer Fund as Equity Analyst. Her summer intern is in M&T Bank as Fixed Income Analyst. After graduation, She will pursue career in Investment and Finance.

SAWMBA 2006-2007 Officers

Christina Schoen comes to the Smith school with a background in business logistics from Penn State University. At the time Christina left to come to the Smith school she was a junior buyer for Hecht's and Strawbridge's Department Stores for their Accessories division.  She also interned with Shell Chemical Company, in their transportation department, and Nabisco, in their product supply division. 

This summer Christina will intern with Black and Decker in their finance department.  Upon graduation, she hopes to purse a career path in supply chain and finance.  Personally Christina loves to go for long walks, spend time with her family and volunteer with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Vivian Yi upon graduating Robert H. Smith School of Business with a B.S. in D & IT in 2001, she worked as a Project Analyst in the Finance dept. at JPMorgan Chase. Just before returning to Robert H. Smith for MBA, she was a Business Analyst at Trading Technologies in Chicago, which ranked #3 best places to work in Chicago in the "Chicago" magazine.
