Ashoka
is
teaming
up with
4
universities
along
the East
Coast to
bring
students
and
faculty
together
with
practitioners,
thought
leaders,
and
philanthropists
to
create
new and
effective
partnerships
for
sustainable
social
change.
The
University
of
Maryland,
through
the
Robert
H. Smith
School
of
Business,
has been
selected
for the
pilot
program.
We are
looking
for a
total of
4
students
at the
undergrad
and
graduate
levels
to join
select
faculty
and
staff in
a
one-year,
pioneering
initiative
designed
to
deeply
embed
social
entrepreneurship
across
campus,
and to
establish
the
standards
that
will
enable
other
universities
to
follow
our
lead.
As part
of the
program,
you
will:
*Participate
in two
training
weekends
in
Washington,
DC,
where
you'll
learn
from
experts
and
practitioners
in the
field
and
develop
your
plan for
campus
change
*Apply
the
skills
learned
in a
live
competition
to
develop
new
solutions
to an
intractable
global
problem,
through
Ashoka's
Changemakers.net
*Receive
regular
coaching
from
Ashoka
staff
and
access
to some
of
today's
leading
social
entrepreneurs
and
thought
leaders
in the
field
*And of
course,
transform
the
social
entrepreneurship
scene on
the UM
campus

student will be
carpooling up
together and it
should be a lot of
