Recent Events

"Why Johnny Can't Brand" with the Dingman Center

The GMA and the Dingman Center hosted a dinner with Bill Schley, the co-author of Why Johnny Can’t Brand: Rediscovering the lost art of the Big Idea recently published by Penguin Books. Mr. Schley explained the main ideas of his book: that companies aren't reaching out to see what how their customers brand them, and that marketers have forgotten that they have to sell their products rather then just entertain customers. This was a great event for marketers and for anyone in the community who wanted to know what Brand Managers are trying to do. Look for similar events next year.

Elections

The GMA election has occured, and we have two new Co-Presidents. Congratulations to Don, Matt and the rest of the executive board and to all of our members as they go out into their internships or off to their careers.
