Antonella
was born in
Montevideo,
Uruguay. She
earned a
B.S. in
Marketing
and
International
Business
from the
University
of Maryland,
College
Park. She
has six
years of
experience
working as a
marketing
manager for
a non-profit
organization
promoting
the exports
of U.S.
dairy
products.
Her
professional
background
in
international
marketing
and project
management
allowed her
to travel
extensively
throughout
Latin
America, the
Caribbean
and Europe
and gain an
insight into
these
markets. She
is an MBA
candidate
for the
class of
2009 with a
concentration
in Marketing
and
Strategy.

Luz Dary
Camargo
Luz comes from
Bogota,
Colombia.
She holds a B.S.
in Finance and
International
Relations and
has professional
experience in
the financial
sector. Luz is
currently a
second year MBA
student with
focus in
Finance.
Prior to
starting her
MBA, Luz worked
with corporate
clients at Banco
de Bogota, one
of the biggest
Colombian banks.
Her main
responsibilities
involved
negotiations,
client’s
relationships
and service.
Previously, Luz
worked in a
local investment
bank as a
business analyst
where she had
the opportunity
to value small
and medium-sized
companies.
During the
summer Luz
interned at
Enterprise
Community
Investments as
the Asset
Manager Intern.
In this
capacity, she
provided
financial and
demographic
analysis of the
Portfolio at
Enterprise
Community
Investments.
Luz is very
active in
student’s and
professional's
organizations
such as the
International
Club, Mayer Fund
and NSHMBA
Washington DC
Chapter where
she is
Co-President,
Equity Analyst
and Compliance
Officer
respectively.

Carlos Silva
Vice President of
Finance
Carlos was born
in Mexico and
raised in
Colombia. He
attended the
Universidad de
los Andes at
Bogota, where he
received both a
Bachelor of
Science and a
Master of
Science in
Economics. Prior
to his arrival
to Smith, he
worked for
several years as
a Strategy and
Research Analyst
in
Ultrabursatiles,
a Colombian
brokerage firm.
He did his
summer
internship at
the
Inter-American
Development Bank
as a Portfolio
Management
Assistant. He is
an MBA candidate
for the class of
2009 with a
concentration in
Finance.

Luis Fernando
Rios
Vice President of
Marketing
Luis was born in
Medellin,
Colombia. He
earned his B.S.
in Production
Engineering from
Universidad
EAFIT of
Medellin. Upon
completion he
started working
for Industria
Colombiana de
Café S.A.
"COLCAFE" as
process engineer
and later as
Head of
Packaging
Engineering. In
2006 Luis was
selected to
receive the
Fulbright award
for academic
excellence
enabling him to
conduct his
studies in the
United States.
Luis is
interested in
Marketing and
Strategy and
after completing
his MBA Luis
will return to
Colombia to work
for COLCAFE
fulltime.

working in Sales
& Marketing and
Operations in

companies, he

Developing
Markets,
specifically in
Latin America.
He is an MBA
candidate for
the class of
2009.
