Luis was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana. He has six years of experience in the business processes improvement division in PricewaterhouseCoopers; evaluating and optimizing business processes and information systems. He has led and managed consulting projects and external audits for multinational organizations of different industries in Latin American, the Caribbean, and the United States. He is an MBA candidate for the class of 2010 with a focus in Management Consulting. He plays soccer and enjoys travel.

Marisela Montenegro Executive Vice President Marisela was born in Caracas, Venezuela. Her previous experience was focused in marketing strategy and project management for Verizon Wireless in Venezuela. Here she developed and led top sales channels and nationwide marketing events for consumers. She has also achieved expertise in developing community programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives. As a student for Smith, she has been involved with a number of organizations such as the International Club, GMA and Net Impact. She is an MBA Candidate for 2010 with a focus in strategy and marketing .

Diego Alvarez Vice President of Finance Diego Alvarez came from Medellin, Colombia. He earned his B.S in Computer Science Engineering from the Universidad EAFIT in Medellin. Upon completion he started working for PSL S.A, a software company CMMI-5 certified. Diego is experienced in use of Six Sigma, CMMI, and Business Process Management practices. At Smith, he focuses on building competencies in Strategy and General Management. He plays the piano, enjoys traveling, and has a passion for learning about different cultures and languages.

Annie Restrepo Vice President of Marketing Annie Restrepo was born in Washington, D.C. She received her BS from the United States Naval Academy. She has served in the US Navy in several capacities as a Surface Warfare and Division Officer aboard ships, Operations Analyst ashore, and Maritime Plans Officer overseas. She has been on two deployments; one to the Western Pacific and the other to the Horn of Africa. Prior to commencing the Smith MBA program, Annie was stationed in Bogota, Colombia at the U.S. Embassy, where she collaborated with the Colombian Navy on various projects. Annie's focus is finance and entrepreneurship. She is an avid runner and enjoys travel. |

Cynthia Soriano Taborda Vice President of External Relations cynthia.sorianocanelas@rhsmith.umd.edu Cynthia Soriano Taborda was born in La Paz, Bolivia. She received a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, located in Santiago, Chile. She started off her career teaching Kindergarten in Alexandria, VA and then continued to take the position of Program Director at a private preschool. This management position and her passion for the education industry triggered her interest in Education Policy and Development which led her to pursue an MBA from the University of Maryland. She is an MBA Candidate for the class of 2010 with a concentration in Non-Profit and Project Management.
