By majoring in supply chain, you can apply for internal scholarships (process opens in Feb/March, you apply via UNET and receive your award for the following school year) and external scholarships (listed below) We encourage you to apply for them all. Good Luck!!
INTERNAL (LBPP/Supply Chain majors only) SCHOLARSHIPS
Updated 5/15/13
Applications
are now posted on UNET closing May 17th, 2013
YOU MUST APPLY SEPARATELY to receive money from
both the Smith school scholarships AND the separate supply chain
scholarships listed below.
YOU MUST BE A ENROLLED FULL TIME SMITH SCHOOL UNDERGRADUATE
STUDENT WHO WILL BE ENROLLED THE FOLLOWING FALL/SPRING AND YOU
MUST BE A CURRENT SUPPLY CHAIN MAJOR
These are internal scholarships that are awarded by the Logistics Business and Public Policy Department LBPP only to current full time students at the Smith school that are majoring in supply chain management.
- The Joseph and Olivia Mattingly Transportation and Logistics Scholarship Fund
- The Felix Kaplan Transportation and Logistics Scholarship Fund
- Charles A Taff Scholarship Fund
- Clifton T. and Jane Story Phillips Scholarship Fund
- Gene and Ann West Scholarship Fund
THE FINE PRINT: Note that when you receive an internal LBPP dept scholarship, you will receive half of your award for your fall tuition bill and the other half for your spring bill. If you decide not to attend UMD/Smith for one of those semesters (for example to study abroad, do a co-op, etc.) you will forfeit your scholarship award for that semester. In other words, you will only receive the award for semesters where you are enrolled and paying tuition at UMD/Smith. If you plan to graduate after the fall semester, be sure to include that information on your application and you will get 100% of your scholarship funds for the fall semester. If you have questions, email supplychain@rhsmith.umd.edu.
