The 30
Seconds Outlook
November 1, 2007
We have two classes of
forecasters: those who don't know and those
who don't know they don't know. John Kenneth
Galbraith.
Despite the continuing
losses in financial assets at investment
banks, commercial banks and mortgage
lenders, the economy just keeps chugging
along. The end of the world continues to be
in the next quarter. New home sales have
actually increased, and the inventory of
unsold homes has eased slightly. The Fed
will decrease the Fed funds rate
incrementally to keep the ball (economy)
rolling.
