Alumnus named “Rising Star Inventor of the Year”
Dominic Crapuchettes, MBA ’04, bet his future on North Star
Games, a board game company he created in 2004 with Satish
Pillalamarri, MBA ’04. He has recently been crowned "Rising
Star Inventor of the Year" at the Third Annual Toy and Game
Inventor Awards, presented by the Chicago Toy and Game Group
(and sponsored by Hasbro), beating out his competition –
movie star Daryl Hannah and Joe and Dave Herbert, the guys
who won $1 million dollars with the best Super Bowl ad last
year.

The MBA Association cordially invites you to its keystone
event, Monte Carlo Night 2011 – a night of gambling, dancing,
friends, and fun! The night will include an open bar, DJ,
and light food. This annual, black-tie optional event is
a valued Smith tradition established in 2002 to raise money
for the Michael Scott Lamana and Eric Cranford Memorial
MBA Fellowship Fund. Mr. Lamana and Mr. Cranford were Part-Time
Smith MBA students killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks
on the Pentagon. Part of the proceeds from the night’s event
will go toward this fund.

CEO@Smith is a dynamic speaker series designed to connect
our community with leading business practitioners and innovators.
All events are free and open to the public, and take place
at 5:30 p.m. in Frank Auditorium, Van Munching Hall, at
