Revitalizing the U.S. Mortgage Market

policy makers and academics for a roundtable discussion
on “Revitalizing the U.S. Mortgage Market." This half-day
roundtable discussion will explore the issues leading to
the conservatorship of mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie
Mac. Led by a panel of industry, academic and policy experts,
we will explore policy implications for revitalizing the
primary and secondary mortgage markets, while protecting
tax payers. This will be followed by a lunch featuring
keynote speaker Mark Zandi, Chief Economist at Moody's

by three Maryland alumni as an organization dedicated to
uniting young professionals in the Washington D.C area currently
working in supply chain management or its related industries.
SCYPS & YCDC is hosting a Wine Tasting at the Westin Grand
for interested professionals who want to experience being
a part of an exciting opportunity to network with fellow
alumni and local professionals. Come enjoy variety of $5
wines, a guided wine tour, appetizers and $3 organic martinis
while catching up with fellow alumni and learning more about
the organizations.

University of Maryland Commencement Ceremonies
Main Commencement Ceremony
Thursday, May 20, 8 p.m.
Tickets are required for this event.
The university encourages graduates, their family
and friends to attend this approximately 90-minute evening
event as part of the two-day commencement celebration.
Robert H. Smith School of Business Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 21, 4 p.m.
The Smith School will hold its spring commencement ceremony
on Friday, May 21 at 4 p.m. in the Comcast Center. Parking
is free in the lots around the Comcast Center. Shuttle service
will be available throughout the day. No tickets are required
for guests at the Smith School Ceremony.

special arrangements for guests or degree candidates with
disabilities who will be attending the Smith School ceremony.
