The current upheaval in the U.S. and world economy is shaking the foundations of key industries – as well as many core assumptions about globalization, risk and the role of government in business. How can business managers effectively lead in these uncertain times? Hugh Courtney, associate dean of executive programs, professor of the practice of strategy, and author of the book 20/20 Foresight: Crafting Strategy in an Uncertain World, a business best-seller on Amazon.com, is a recognized strategy expert who will outline the steps for successfully navigating risk and uncertainty. In encouraging attendees to embrace the unknown, Courtney will help them gain access to unforeseen opportunity and reward. Courtney’s insight on decision making and uncertainty was recently featured in the December 2008 issue of the McKinsey Quarterly.
