Taking on the current job market can seem a bit daunting, but with
the right preparation candidates can set themselves apart.
In this edition of Smith Business Close-Up with the University of Maryland’s
Robert H. Smith School of Business, Jeff Kudisch talks about how the school is
helping students prepare to take on the job market —including innovative
activities such as an improv workshop to build communications skills.
Kudisch is the managing director of the Office of Career
Services at the Smith School and a faculty expert in leadership,
negotiations and human capital management. He has a PhD in industrial and
organizational psychology and he co-founded Personnel Assessment Systems, Inc.,
a human resource consulting firm specializing in executive assessment and
leadership development.
Smith Business Close-Up is co-produced by the Robert H. Smith School
of Business and Maryland Public Television. The television segment focuses on
the latest thinking in business management, and features in-depth interviews
with Smith School faculty and other members of the school’s community of
business leaders.
