8th Annual Monte Carlo Night
Brings Together
Smith MBA Community, Past & Present
Every year, the Smith community gathers at Monte Carlo Night to celebrate
the Smith MBA experience with an evening of food, dancing, prizes and
faux-gambling. Mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009.
"What began as an effort to raise funds for the families of the victims of
9/11 has grown over the years to become the keystone event of the MBA calendar,"
says MBA Association President Alexander Kouts. "This year, the MBAA and
PTMBAA Boards have
worked to dramatically increase the size and scope of Monte Carlo Night while
preserving the event's charitable roots. We are proud to welcome over 500
members of the Smith Family including, MBAs, EMBAs, faculty, staff, and alumni.
The night will feature, food, cocktails, dancing, faux-gambling, prizes, and
attendees from the finest MBA program on the planet. Monte Carlo Night 2009 will
take place at The Galleria at Lafayette Center in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 7,
2009 from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. We would be honored if you would join us!"
"I look forward to Monte Carlo Night each year, as does my entire staff" says
Mike Marcellino, assistant dean of masters programs. "I've been attending since
its inception, and I'm thrilled that the event continues to bring the Smith
community together."
