On June 6, Smith school students Maya Rao and Brendon Fox, along with Dingman Center managing director, Asher Epstein, were featured in the national, award-winning program, NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.

Senior correspondent Terence Smith featured individual comments from each of the three in a story about the impact of technology on news consumption. In a group interview that took place in the business school courtyard, Rao, Fox and Epstein offered insight into their news habits and their use of technology, including the use of their Smith School-issued Blackberries to scan headlines and e-mailed news feeds. By positioning the group as part of a leading, tech-savvy demographic that is prompting media outlets to change the way news is being packaged and delivered -- the story also underscored the Smith School's leadership position in the integration of business and technology, and in preparing leaders for the digital economy.
