Smith Alumni Enjoy Private Event at National Aquarium

On June 7, 2014, alumni of the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business enjoyed a private evening event at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Md. The sold-out event was a huge hit and hundreds of alumni, family and friends enjoyed a leisurely tour, avoiding the heavy crowds typically endured during normal operating hours.

Attendees visited the Australia and dolphin exhibits, watched 4D movies and participated in a scavenger hunt.  One of the highlights of the evening for many Terps was the meet-and-greet session with Testudo, the Maryland Terrapin’s mascot.

Raj Leyl, MBA '96, executive vice president at eVigilant, attended the event with his family. “My kids love the Aquarium, so the event invitation immediately caught my attention. We had a great time seeing all of the exhibits without the normal crowds and we even got a few pictures with Testudo!”
