Tamara Maull Appointed Director of Alumni Affairs

College Park, MD - October 23, 1998 - Tamara Maull has been appointed director of alumni affairs at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park. She is the former director of alumni affairs at Hampton University in Virginia.

In her position at the Smith School of Business, Maull is responsible for developing and implementing activities and events that will directly benefit alumni and strengthen the strategic alliance between alumni members and the school. Such activities will include expanding communications, career opportunities, and networking events.

In addition, Maull is working to increase alumni involvement in the school's established programs, including career management and preparation for students. She also is working with the University of Maryland Alumni Association to plan regional events.

Maull received her bachelor's degree in health, physical education, and recreation from Hampton in 1981. She also earned an M.Ed. in counseling from Wilmington College in 1991. Before joining Hampton's Office of Alumni Affairs, she was director of annual giving at St. Andrew's School in Middletown, Delaware. Her corporate experience includes working for the Stop and Shop Companies and Procter & Gamble.
