We cordially invite you to a day-long exploration of Information
Technology-Enabled Transformations. The purpose of the conference is to
illustrate how technology is dramatically changing industries, markets and
organizations, and to discuss how to bring the transformation theme into
management education. We will be playing excerpts from the documentary
The Transformation Age: Surviving a Technological Revolution with Robert X.
Cringely, co-produced by the Smith School and
Maryland Public
Television.
The keynote speakers include
Fred Ehrlich, former head of Sony Digital,
Eric Eggleton, Senior Vice President and Chief Content Officer, Maryland
Public Television, and Professor
Ann Majchrzak of the University of Southern California.
You'll discover:
- How information technology is
transforming everything around us, from our professional to our personal
lives.
- How we can weave IT-enabled
transformation into our business school curriculum
- How we need to include this new
theme to prepare students for careers in the 21st Century
- Why we believe that a
transformation theme can motivate both students and faculty in their
study of information technology
As a part of registration, participants will receive a DVD of The
Transformation Age.
