Industry Using the Lab

Solving Real-World Problems in Revolutionary Ways

In addition to teaching and research functions, the Netcentricity Laboratory serves as an important testing ground for today’s organizations seeking greater productivity and efficiency through digital networks.

Focus in the lab is on the whole range of business-2-business applications provided by digital networks. Leveraging the expertise and the cutting-edge technology available in the lab, corporate partners can conduct "what if" assessments relative to their markets. Using models and simulations based on real-time information, corporate managers can test and modify business scenarios, exploit advanced technologies and understand behavioral or performance of virtual workgroups.

The lab’s outreach activities include an annual “Leveraging Corporate Knowledge” seminar series, featuring industry and academic experts. A library of current research papers and an annual CIO forum help keep top managers up to date on the issues in technology and business.
