Joined University of Maryland in 2003.

Katherine M. Boyle is an adjunct professor at the Robert H. Smith School of Business having joined the University in 2003. Her current responsibilities include teaching integrated marketing communications. Ms. Boyle is also president of Boyle Communications, providing strategic guidance and full-service communications programs to corporate and non-profit clientele.

Prior to starting her own firm, Ms. Boyle was vice president of public relations for Sodexho, a Gaithersburg, MD-based food service and facilities management company. There, she was responsible for overseeing all public relations activities for the $4.9 billion company. While at Sodexho, Ms. Boyle successfully planned and executed media activities resulting in positive press coverage of the company's listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 1998 and helped launch its not-for-profit foundation.

Ms. Boyle has consulted for numerous clients including the Avendra, Food Marketing Institute, Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), National Restaurant Association, American Logistics Association, U.S. Army Family Support Service, and Marriott International. She was also the director of public relations for the Food Marketing Institute and a teacher with Prince Georges County Schools.

Ms. Boyle received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Maryland and a master's degree in business administration from Loyola College.
