Adjunct Faculty
Sandi Stewart is the owner of SLS Coaching & Consulting an executive coaching
and consulting firm. She is an executive coach and consultant in public, private
and non-profit sectors assisting executives with leadership development and
organizational change. Sandi has worked with individuals and teams in a host of
companies and organizations including Lockheed Martin, Ernst & Young, Fannie
Mae, Goal Financial, Tetra Tech, Cemex N.A., PBS, Red Cross and U.S. Department
of Commerce. Sandi’s areas of focus include: Leadership Development, Strategic
Planning, Organizational Change, Team Dynamics, Career Development & Change, and
Life Balance.
Previous to coaching and consulting, Sandi’s career has spanned a number of
industries in her roles as manager, marketer and strategic planner including
manufacturing, engineering services, healthcare, cable TV, publishing,
non-profit services. She was a manager with Johnson & Johnson, McNeil Specialty
Products which developed and launched the company’s first food additive product,
Splenda. Sandi led the marketing for the New Products division of Ferrera, N.A.
and managed the marketing department for a medical publishing division of
Harcourt Brace Jovanovich and worked with Hearst/ABC/Viacom in the early days of
Cable TV. This experience, an M.B.A., and her more than 15 years of consulting
and coaching has given her a breadth of understanding of the diverse challenges
executives face.
Sandi has a B.A. in Psychology and French from Colgate University and a M.B.A
from Columbia University. She trained as a coach with Coach University and
Corporate Coach University. She is a Certified Coach with the International
Coach Federation and a Certified Behavioral and Motivational Analyst through
Target Training International. Sandi has been featured in national and local
print publications and radio. She is quoted in “Simply Brilliant: Life Lessons
from America’s Top Personal and Business Coaches” and “The Women’s Home-Based
Business Book of Answers”.
Sandi has worked with full time, part-time and executive MBAs at the
University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business in both career and
leadership development and is an adjunct professor teaching Leadership
Development.
