Started in 1993, Kensington is a
management-consulting firm whose clients
include industry leaders such as Pulte
Homes, Marriott, IBM, GE, Caterpillar
and Diageo. Rick's clients have
also included international and public
sector organizations such as World Bank,
U. S. Department of Energy, Arizona
Office of Tourism, Philadelphia
Department of Human Services and
numerous associations and non-profit
organizations.
Rick's success as an entrepreneur,
consultant, educator and coach reflects
his more than 25 years of experience in
guiding and facilitating efforts to
improve organizational performance.
Clients have valued Rick for his honest
and trustworthy approach, and for his
help in designing and strengthening
strategy, organizational structure,
operational excellence and execution.
He has helped develop and implement an
acquisition integration model that
became the benchmark at GE, and created
a process for streamlining complex large
organizations that is in use at a number
of leading companies. He is an
expert in mobilizing entire
organizations to quickly embrace new
directions that range from
reorganizations to major strategic
initiatives. One client described
Rick as having a "passion for generating

using a pre-set consulting formula, he
is known for developing customized
approaches to achieve specific business
outcomes that meet the needs of each
client.
Prior to founding Kensington Consulting
Group, Inc. in 1993, Rick was an
executive with Marriott. He was a
leader in planning and directing
numerous company wide initiatives that
led to improvements in customer
satisfaction and financial performance,
served as facilitator for the Lodging
Executive Committee, and was responsible
for worldwide training. He began
his career in the Federal Government as
an internal organizational consultant
based in the U. S. Department of
Education.
Rick is an adjunct professor at the
University of Maryland Robert H. Smith
School of Business MBA program,
where he teaches leadership,
organization design and strategy
implementation. He has served on
the Board of Directors of the Maryland
Chamber of Commerce, is an avid sailor
and accomplished jazz trumpet player.
