SUMMARY OF MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established, in conjunction with several partners, a small,
successful, asset management and supply chain consulting agency.
Customers come from a variety of sectors including retail (My Organic
Market, MarketOrder), federal government (DigitalNet, Department of
Treasury), and academic (University of Maryland/Maryland Department of
Transportation). Currently teaching Introduction to Supply Chain
Management for 75 - 80 students per semester as well as Introduction to
Business for 250 students. Winner of
2005/2006 Krowe/Legg Mason
Award for Teaching Excellence, and nominated for the Krowe/Legg
Mason Teaching Award in 2002/2003. Guest lecturer in 1-2 masters
logistics classes per semester. Developer of the ‘FedTron Challenge-
lecture module.
Managed multiple facets of busy asset management departments
including personnel, product development, on-site operations, database
operations, vendor relations, pricing, and implementation of systems and
services.
Developed and maintained all just-in-time (JIT) materials and
production scheduling as the primary materials requirements planner for
the Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS), a $1.3 billion National
Guard / Army Reserve desktop computing contract.
Co-designed and administered an award-winning production facility
which provided all production and deployment operation for the RCAS
contract to include production, inbound materials, outbound
distribution, and product integration operations.
Technical Advisor at the Smith School-s Supply Chain Management
Center (SCMC), a state-of-the-art logistics research facility. Developer
of custom field collection capabilities and technology demonstrations.
Designer of the SCMC-s demonstration booth for the State of Maryland
Technology Showcase, December 1999.
Principal designer of the Maryland Supply Chain Information System
(M-SCIS), an intermodal information portal proof-of-concept sponsored by
the Maryland Department of Transportation.
Principal designer of the Intelligent Tracking Evaluation and
Management System (ITEMS), a turnkey, bar code scanner/web based product
used to provide detailed asset management functionality within large
corporate environments (including: Bayer Pharmaceutical, LTV Steel,
Time-Warner, Dayton Power and Light, Western Digital, Deutsche Bank,
Kay-Bee Toys, the State of Illinois, and Private Health Care Systems).
Principal designer of Logistics Operation Unit Information System
(LOUIS), an award winning VAX/Oracle MRP program, used to analyze,
predict, schedule, and monitor inbound, JIT, materials requirements.
