Research by faculty in the areas of business and public policy, and international business is concerned with key corporate issues, including the economics of the Internet, the impact of trade liberalization and market reforms on the strategies of multinational corporations, company strategies in high technology industries, and intellectual property rights. Their research appears in leading economics, management, international business, and business and public policy journals. The faculty also makes valuable contributions to businesses through extensive consulting activities with organizations such as the World Travel and Tourism Council, General Accounting Office, U.S. Postal Rate Commission, 3M, and Burlington Northern.

Members of the logistics faculty enjoy an outstanding national reputation for the high caliber of their research: Transportation Journal ranks the faculty No. 5 nationwide in research productivity.
